Gold Foil Print - Grateful Heart

Kimberly Church | Gold Foil - Grateful Heart
Last week I added a new gold foil print to the shop: Live With a Grateful Heart. You can find it, here.

I had an enjoyable time trying to keep my kitty out of the product photos. She's extremely curious and too cute to lock into a room while photographing. Instead, I had to crop out out kitty parts to get acceptable photos for Etsy. (Sorry for those who follow me on Instagram, you've probably already seen this photo!)

Families are Forever

New Year calls for new designs. Yesterday I shared some designs for the young women. Today I am sharing the I updated LDS Primary printables that coordinate with the 2014 theme: Families are Forever.

I went out of my comfort zone to illustrate this family standing in front of the Salt Lake City Temple. It turned out better than how I planned. I'm really happy and had so much fun with this design. Prints (color and B&W for coloring pages), Bookmarks and Articles of Faith Punch Cards are now available in the shop with this design.

2014 Girls Camp Theme - Wizard of Oz

Last year I worked on a custom girls camp graphic with the yearly theme + the Wizard of Oz theme. I received a few requests to update the design to the 2014 theme.

So here you have it: "Come unto Christ for there's no place like home."

I have prints and t-shirt files in the shop. These are both for the digital file so you can print yourself. The price includes personalization for your ward/stake.

Branding | Priscilla Davis Studio

I worked with the very talented Priscilla Davis on a new brand for her photography business: Priscilla Davis Studio. She is located in Las Vegas too. We were able to meet up and have lunch and discuss our ideas. I know I've said it a million times, but I'll say it again... I love working with photographers!

Priscilla wanted her brand to be: Bright, Clean, Organized, Graphic, Coordinating, Professional, and Happy. I think we achieved that and I am pleased with the new look. Check it out!

CHA

Ahhh! Where has time gone?! Lots has happened since I last posted. I was able to attend CHA this summer. It was so fun to see all the awesome new products coming out in the craft/scrapbooking industry. And even more awesome to meet so many successful people in the industry. I feel like attending this conference helped me to evaluate where I want to go in my career.

I met Becky Higgins for the first time in real life. I worked really closely with her on the editions I designs, so it was fun to finally meet her and her fabulous team.

I was also able to see the Missionary Editions and theme card packs. Let's just say... it was surreal. Nine months ago, I would have never imagined myself here. Crazy stuff!

Project Life- Missionary Editions

Well, many of you probably read Becky Higgin's blog post yesterday, announcing the new core kits. It is such an honor to be named among fabulous designers! It was a lot of fun to work on a full edition for Project Life.

I was able to work on the LDS Mission Editions, for Elders and Sisters. Becky has a great explanation on her blog post, if you aren't familiar with LDS missions.

Here's the story of how I got asked to design these editions:
I started selling some missionary themed journal cards in my Etsy Shop. I designed a few cards so I could get my husbands mission photos organized, and I figured others might be needing mission themed cards as well. I listed them in my shop and I had been selling them for a few weeks... until I got a call from Becky Higgins. I was in big trouble! Okay, not really. But 'Project Life' is a registered trademark and I used it in my title and description. I was so oblivious to the legal stuff! She filled me in on all the details. She was planning on designing a missionary kit and did an internet search. That's when she came across my designs. She liked how simple and clean the cards were. So she asked me to design a FULL kit. So I simply took the cards off my site and went to work. Well, after I ran around my house like a crazy lady. I was really excited!

Below are some images of the journal and filler cards. The kits are very similar. The cards with journaling prompts and quotes can be found in both kits. Different patterns and colors.

Can't wait to get my hands on the printed kit and get my husband started on Project Life!

Paramount Construction Logo and Website

I freelance for House of Hancock, an advertising company in Las Vegas, every so often. A few months ago, I worked on this logo for Paramount Construction. I also designed their website. Designing for the web is fun- but I'm not a web lady. It's nice to interact with the completed site- without the HTML headaches!

I got the Wedding Mini Kit!

Project Life has been is stores for about a month. I have been so busy with work and moving back to Las Vegas. I went to Hobby Lobby, but the kit was sold out. Good thing my dear friend, Kaycee found it and even delivered it to my house. She is a gem! She and I will be having some project life parties this summer, for sure!

I totally forgot that our picture was going to be on the inside of the box! How crazy is that? My husband is totally embarrassed... hopefully no one looks too closely!

And it gets better! My signature is on the box. It is unreal to me. It really is. I usually just print my name... and call it a signature. I fancied it up a bit, and I'm glad I did!

Hopefully one day it will hit me. Today, it doesn't seem real.

Prints for Boston: Let's Be Adventurers

Sassy Steals put together a 'Prints for Boston' fundraiser. All proceeds go to Kiss the Toad Creations. They will present children at Boston Children's Hospital with their very own superhero cape, because battling a life threatening illness takes a lot of courage and superhuman strength!

I donated this Let's Be Adventurers Print. It's an 8.5x11 digital file (You print yourself). It's $4.99 and available for 2 days. Swing over to Sassy Steals and take a look... there are lots of other prints available too.

I love adventures and I'm obsessed with mopeds. (My husband and I rented 2 mopeds for our anniversary... it was a blast. I totally recommend it if you need a fun night out!) Seriously love this print and glad it's helping a great cause!

Pattern Contest & Free Download

I happened to come across this fabric design contest and I really want to win a new sewing machine. So I entered a few designs. Crossing my fingers- really hope I get lucky! They are using Pinterest to vote. So if you like a pattern, please re-pin it from the official contest Pinterest Board. It's important that you re-pin if from their board. You can see the patterns I've entered below- or on my Pinterest Board. Repinning ends April 22, 2013.

Speaking of patterns... I figured these would make cute cards for Project Life. They are random, but Hey... you might find a way to put them to good use. 5 patterns- these are exactly 4x6 (So you might need to trim down so they fit). I've included the .jpg files. And a .pdf with 2 on a page, to make it easier to print. Click below :)

Event Poster

I get asked to design a lot of stuff for church. I can't say no. That is why my etsy shop is filled with LDS stuff, I figure there are others out there who need the same kinda stuff (even if it's in Spanish!).

To get to the point of this post... I made this poster and now it is in the shop. I'll customize it and send you the file. If you have an event you need to advertise for- check it out.

Custom Posters in the shop!

I rarely design stuff for myself. Simply because I can never make up my mind. I've been contemplating this poster for sometime... maybe that helped! Plus, I decided to try something new... drawing these flowers on the computer. I had fun in the process and I love the way they look!

The 'Rental Sweet Rental' is what I made for our little apartment. But you can get yours customized to say whatever your little heart desires. Click over to my etsy shop to see all the details (font/color options).

Use the coupon code: 5BUCKSOFF for $5.00 off your purchase of $20.00.

Showgirl Business cards

My sewing teacher from High School is an awesome lady. I loved her class and was set on becoming a sewing teacher for the longest time! Anyways, I did some business cards for her recently. She always has a new idea to run with, I love it.

She is a burlesque dancer, by the name Sugar Shagmore! How many people can say their teacher is a burlesque dancer? It's awesome! Also, she blogs over at Showgirl on a Shoestring. These will be printed back to back.

Then I realized I never shared the business card I did for her burlesque accessories she sales called Bombshell Baubles. She seriously does everything!

Custom Girls Camp Graphic

"Stand in holy places, for there's no place like home"

I created this custom girls camp graphic a few weeks ago. Girls camp is for girls 12-18 years old, I went every summer and it was a good time. This particular Stake is using the Wizard of Oz theme in combination with the youth theme for this year, "Stand ye in holy places." This will be used for banners, tshirts and all that jazz.

Don't you love the saucy young woman standing there in her high heels? I think the girls will really love it.

I then reused part of the graphic to make generic posters and bookmarks that can be purchased in the shop.

If you would like to purchase this design for your girls camp, please contact me. I will happily customize it and resize it to whatever size you need.

Dom DeMarco's Pizzeria

I freelance occasionally for House of Hancock, an advertising agency in Las Vegas. I did this work for their client, Dom DeMarco's. These are just a few projects. A couple spam emails and some Facebook ads. (yes, I design spam. Cool, I know.)

I can't work on this project around lunch time... it makes me too hungry and I live too far away from this yummy looking pizza!
